Not NOT buying this
The Maryam Nassir Zadeh shoe sale, Anna Sui obsessions, and some Prada 1999 from my eBay watchlist.
Maryam Nassir Zadeh announced her shoe sale today. A few of my TRR hearts went on sale. And this fashion week’s embracing of unserious clothing revitalized my interest in getting dressed again. I tried to stay strong this week, but I didn’t do so well. Without further ado, here are the goods in my search history.
My morning scroll today led to the MNZ shoe sale. I’ve fallen weak to a few pairs of MNZ’s shoes before, so I was obviously not resilient when the sale was announced. I vacillated between the Ballet Wedge, the Una Sandal in black patent, the Irene Sandal, and the Alan Loafer. I went with the Una in black patent (will be wearing with lots of different colored/lace sockies). If you don’t already have the Olympia Wedge, all sizes are still stocked. I’m also a sucker for the Sandra Boot (!!!).
Onto my TRR obsessions… Embarrassingly, the MNZ sale was my second time falling for a pair of shoes this month. After seeing they were marked way down on The RealReal, I went for the Lune Boot in black leather. Alas, there are handful of pieces I did resist. Here they are -
Anna Sui dress: The brown/white polka dot print, the the vintage-looking rosettes. This is exactly the unserious wave (it’s kind of the antithesis of quiet luxury, which I’m a bit fatigued by) I’m into right now. I also love this Anna Sui early 2000s blouse, this little babydoll dress, this top and these pants. Everything Anna!
Molly Goddard scarf: I mean, how cute? Perfect color combination. I also love this Molly Goddard plaid dress. This lambswool sweater is pretty tempting, too.
Rodarte dress: If I had a wedding to attend soon, I’d be buying.
Vintage locket: This has probably been in my Obsessions for a year now. Please don’t buy it.
Toteme boots: The choco croc! These could get marked down again, but I already fulfilled my heeled boot need. If I hadn’t, these would be even more dangerous.
Onto eBay…
Red agnes B. snap cardi. I found perfect black one on eBay last year. Just waiting to pull the trigger on another color.
Marc Jacobs navy velvet jacket with light blue piping. Sheeesh.
Polo Ralph Lauren yellow crewneck sweater. I’ve been wanting a banana yellow sweater, something like this one.
Does anyone remember Mike & Chris leather jackets? It was a popping leather jacket brand in the 2000s, very nostalgic. I’d love to revitalize with this olive hooded version.
Cole Haan chocolate brown leather trench. So buttery.
Prada f/w 1999 suede shoulder bag with pink/red/orange appliqué leaves. What I would do for anything from this collection… Here’s another one of the bags. And imagine having the boots!!!!
Celine wool suit. From the 1970s. The pleats! The knit! The description says it basically “fell out of a time machine.”
Okay, that’s all for now. Maybe I’ll actually write next time!
