I only have three things to say today, and they’re all clothing related.
I have two color fixations right now, and one of them is pink. It’s a particular shade — not hot pink, not mauve, not bubblegum and not barbie. It’s somewhere in between all of those. I’m not entirely sure where the obsession stemmed from, but it may be the remedy for fatigue re: overly-serious dressing. This Alex Mill sweater has temporarily satiated my craving, but when was an obsession ever put to rest with just one sweater? This J. Crew 1988 Rollneck Sweater also fits the bill. This Marine Serre pink cardigan is the right shade (and is marked down), this red and pink Claudie Pierlot sweater is one of the best things I’ve ever seen (it’s Miss Madeline Montoya’s signature color combo), this tiny Prada cardi is cute, and it’s only a matter of time before I fall victim to a pink Agnes B. cardi on eBay. I’m also wearing an MNZ carnation scrunchie in rose on my wrist as we speak, which is the exact right pink.
Speaking of sweaters, Gap recently launched their CashSoft sweaters and I bought… three of them. The sweater hoodie in Terra brown is super nice, the polo sweater in red is really good (but also don’t sleep on these stripes), and I also love this cardi set (I got it in Calla green, which is my other current color fixation). Gap is also having a big Friends&Family event with 40% of everything, so…
Last night I went to the Studio Nicholson dinner in Brooklyn. They’re opening a pop-up at Ven.Space, which will come with new collaborations and the full assortment from the brand. Personally, I’m really stoked about their new women’s arrivals — including the super thick knits, their Pallan down coat, and these chocolate Donovan loafers. It’s all of the camels, chocolates, and charcoals I want to wear with said pink.
more existential thoughts next time.
